What causes hormonal hair growth, and can electrolysis stop it permanently?
Hormonal hair growth is triggered by androgens, which can be elevated due to PCOS, menopause, certain medications, or natural variation. Electrolysis permanently destroys treated follicles, so they will not regrow. Ongoing hormonal conditions may cause new follicles to become active over time, which can be addressed with continued treatment.
I've heard electrolysis takes a long time. Is that true?
Session frequency and spacing are personalized to each client based on hair growth, density, and coarseness. Full permanent removal develops over time as each follicle is treated in its active growth phase — your consultation will give you a realistic picture of what to expect.
Do you treat body areas like underarms and bikini?
Yes. We treat all body areas — underarms, bikini line, arms, legs, chest, back, and more. Facial areas (lip, chin, cheeks, eyebrows) are also a specialty.
How should I prepare for my first session?
Let the hair in the treatment area grow for at least 2–3 days. Avoid tweezing or waxing for at least 2 weeks prior. Skip caffeine on the day of your appointment to minimize sensitivity.
